The Dart is a development of our very successful Arrow, it has the same well proven layout, but that's about all that's similar to the Arrow!
The Dart uses a new wing section, chosen for good penetration without compromising the ability to climb well in marginal lift. The wing has more sweep back than the Arrow to improve stability in tight turns and reduce drag. The fuselage is designed for minimal drag, to aid the Dart's ability to penetrate into wind, while still retaining the rock solid tracking that the Arrow is well known for. The Dart is designed as a light weight model, for slope soaring in light to medium wind (5 – 15knots) without the need to change the trim or ballast.

So how well does it fly? It's a wee ripper! It penetrates very well into wind for a light model and shows good speed retention through aerobatics. With maximum control throws the Dart has a rapid roll rate and experienced pilots will really enjoy the performance the Dart can deliver on those more marginal days on the slope. The Dart's flying characteristics are very good, it’s quick, very agile and fully aerobatic. With such a low wing loading, the Dart has a very low stall speed, it also indicates area's of lift very well and can handle those tight thermal grabbing turns.

Like the Arrow, the Dart also has all the radio gear in the fuselage. On conventional flying wings, the servos, receiver and battery all have to fit into the wing. This usually means you have to use a flat battery pack and need to position all the components in the thicker section of the wing, which limits how you can arrange things. Although the Dart fuselage is small, it still has enough room to easily accommodate all the radio gear required. This speeds up the building process and it keeps all the gear central, which has advantages in reducing outboard weight in the wings and providing better survivability in a crash.
