Multiplex LupoJumping on the indoor / park flier bandwagon, MPX have introduced ‘Lupo’, a two-channel, 36” span electric model that can be flown just about anywhere.
As you might expect, it’s foam, and comes pre-built - only radio gear and the supplied motor (150/7 geared) need to be fitted, along with a few stickers, before you can go flying.
The Lupo’s characteristics are described as being docile, and you’ll need absolutely calm conditions for outdoor flying. All-up weight is just 220g, and the little 150/7 motor turns a 9x4.7” prop (also included). Extra parts needed to get you airborne are: two mini servos, a Pico control 281 Speed controller, and the battery, which should consist of 6-7 cells.

Finally, you can go flying at the gym! The Lupo is supplied complete with 150/7 geared motor installed - all you have to do is put in your micro radio gear and add the decals.
The Lupo features a moulded smooth polypropylene foam skin around a balsa structure making it both very light and stiff. This is a far better and more difficult production process than the simple GWS type styrofoam molded foam.
Length | 30.7 in | Wing Span | 36.7 in | Flying Weight | 8.1 oz | Power System | 150 G 7:1 |
COMMENTS: The model is NOT made of styrofoam but polypropylene particle foam. This material cannot be joined with white glue. Epoxy resin is reasonably effective provided the surfaces are sanded down. The manufacturer recommends using hot-melt adhesive and a glue gun.
